Six yards. Zero compromise

Every Shad Dhanu saree is chosen by someone who has actually danced, taught, and worked in it. Handloom cotton and cotton-silk, sourced fabric by fabric from weavers across India — not for how it photographs, but for how it moves. Fabric spec, care instructions, and an honest note on every product page, because you shouldn't have to buy blind

From the stage to the staffroom

We built Shad Dhanu around one question: why should a saree that's right for a classical performance be wrong for a rehearsal, a commute, or a full day on your feet? Our first customers are dancers and movement teachers who needed a saree that could keep up. Every one of them has a friend, a student, or a colleague who wears a saree to work every day — and asks where hers is from.

  • Rhea Kapoor

"I wasn't expecting to actually forget I was wearing a saree — but I did. The fabric held up in a way I didn't expect."

  • Meenakshi Nair

I wore it to a family function and expected to be uncomfortable by the end of the night, the way sarees usually go. This one I could actually move in — sit, get up, dance, all of it — without adjusting every five minutes.

  • Sanjana Rao

I was ready for the usual saree drama — dry clean only, handle with care, all that. This one washed exactly how they said it would. That alone made me trust the brand more than the saree itself did.
