The name
Mitti Ka Dhaaga — thread of earth. Named for the quality of its fall: grounded, unhurried, absolutely sure of itself. Like a dancer who has stopped counting the beats.
The linen gives the saree body — pleats set cleanly and stay, and the drape carries a slight structure that holds shape through lunch or a longer event. Wear it ethnic with a traditional blouse, or indo-western with a white shirt and waist belt — it reads right either way. Light enough for daytime, composed enough for evening.
What to know before you buy
Cotton-linen creases as you wear it — that's the character of the fabric, not a flaw. A light steam refreshes it between wears. Machine wash on gentle.
