The name
Chitralekha — the one who draws pictures. Named for the hand that painted every motif directly onto the silk — no two pieces exactly alike.
What this fabric does
The modal silk holds pleats without you needing to fuss with them mid-evening. You can drape it open pallu for a formal meeting, pleat it for dinner, or pair it with a waistcoat and belt — it moves between looks without losing its fall. It sits light on the shoulders, even over long days.
