The name
Rakta — the colour of the earth's pulse. Named for the depth of its hand-painted pigment, which shifts between amber and rust depending on the light you stand in.
What this fabric does
You'll feel the modal silk settle against you the moment you pleat it — fluid, weightless, but with enough structure that the pallu stays where you put it. It moves with you through long dinners and evening events without dragging or bunching. By the end of the night, your pleats sit the way they did when you draped.
