The name
Arunika — the first light of dawn. Named for the quality of its transparency: the Kota Doria weave lets light pass through it the way early morning light moves through thin cloud.
What this fabric does
You'll barely register the weight of it — Kota Doria sits on you like a second skin, with the open weave letting air pass through on the hottest afternoons. It pleats cleanly, drapes open with a blazer, and stays cool through long stretches indoors and out. Built for the months when anything heavier is unwearable.

What to know before you buy
Kota Doria is woven to be near-translucent — the open grid is the point, not a defect. The cotton may shrink slightly after the first hand wash; this is normal for handloom cotton.

Open, pleated, or with a blazer
Hand wash in cold water with a gentle detergent. Do not wring — press out water gently and hang in shade to dry. Gets softer with every wash.
Store folded in a cotton muslin bag, away from direct light. Avoid sharp pins on the main body of the fabric.
